More Text

Today we have started to make a glass effect in words on photoshop, we have used the polygonal tool and used it to create triangles which act as glass shards. Next We have used the lasso tool and used it to creat a circle and in that we used feather on 50, we then selected the cloud option under filter and we Radial Blurred it at 100. Finally we selected all the text and done the command, Fill, 50% grey and chose a colour, we then made a shadow for the text and we finally added the colour of the explosion to the shadow of the text.

Max Text

Here is the latest thing done on 3ds max. Its a spotlight on text infused with various monsters from the Monster Hunter Series. I just cant get the spotlight to be round D:. The way this technique seems is by wrapping images around the text. Anyway here it is.

Overall I think this is a great looking text, although it was overly complicated to make as I cannot even remember how to do it anymore. I do really think it is an effective, attention grabbing method of text.

T-shirt

Here I have done multiple designs for t-shirts through most of my art and a few photos taken from Astor park, here are the designs.

Typography

I have decided to do a picture of my lovely girlfriend through typography, i know im not that good at it but its a good first time i think. I have used the black and white tool and lowered the opacity. I have also lettered certain colours. Here is my finished picture of typography.

Pen Tool

Today we have been experimenting with the pen tool in Photoshop, we have been making curvy lines like we did as practise in flash and we then input text into the line and fuse the words over the line, i have an example of my work right here.

Capture Spidergram

We have decided to do a Spider Diagram of many ways to capture images. Here is my version of the Spider Diagram for capturing images.

Site Plans

With this website I’m creating I am going to do this on certain pages:

Homepage – On this page I will have the logo, which will have the home page link in it, following a link to the Monster Hunter Tri page, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite page, an image gallery and a link to the forum. I will also have a background which will blend in but won’t make the writing hard to read.

Monster Hunter Tri – For this page I will have the logo with again, the home page link and have both Tri and Freedom Unite links again. Then I will have a column with many links to certain aspects of the game such as Weapons, Armors, Maps, Carves, Combinations, Monsters and all sorts to do with the game.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite – This page will be very similar to the Monster Hunter Tri page except the links will be for aspects of this game instead.

Image Gallery – This page will have a list of all the images used in the websites along with the logo with a link to the homepage, Monster Hunter Tri and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

Forum – Finally on the forum I will have many sections for discussion on the games, with a Banner on the top and a smaller version of the logo in the top left corner.

Website Proposal

For my website I am going to design a helpful website for the games Monster Hunter Tri and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. With this I am planning to give helpful tips, help players with weapon and armor stats and ho0w to build them. I’m going to take screenshots of these games myself and upload them onto the website. I will also create a skin for the website. When all the basic set ups and pages have been done, I’m going to include a variety of things such as a place where all the visitors can sign up for updates and join in for discussions on these games. I’m going to capture the images of the maps for Monster Hunter Tri and Monster hunter Freedom Unite and edit the maps with helpful tips like where to mine stuff with certain things. I will also include details about monsters, best ways how to slay them and charts with all their attacks along with breakable parts and severing parts too.

For my layouts I’m going to be using a lot of tables and images, most things will be in tables such as the weapon trees, carving lists and item lists. One thing that I will need to do for the main project is properly lay things out so I’m doing every bit in separate links which will make finding stuff that much easier instead of scrolling down one big page which may possibly not load on certain PC’s. With the forum if this does become big I will be hiring other people to help me moderate the forum. With this plus working with advertisement I will be able to make this a big website. I’m not sure with the forum if I’m going to design the whole thing myself from Dreamweaver or make one online and use the links to get to the forum. I will create every icon myself along with creating avatars and banners along with the main banner which will be updated regularly. I’m thinking of continuing with the website even after we finish this project, this could be a pretty good website for all fans of the Monster Hunter Franchise.

Also I’m thinking of having a search bar which will make finding things that much more easy and in the future I’m going to turn the links into pictures with the text in to make it more fit what the websites about. 

More Wordle

Today we have gone on a website called Wordle about ourselves. Here is mine.

Logo Research

I have decided to do some logo research today. First of all im going to research the nintendo logo. Even though nintendo is the most popular leading games company brand in the world, they prefer to stick to a simple logo which has been around since 23rd September 1889. Ever since then all they have done to their logo over the years is only change its basic colour and odd occasions, the background. It has varied from Silver to Red. Red is their current colour and here is an image of their logo.

The next logo I am going to research is the Capcom logo. The company had this logo in 1989 January. It's a simple yet easy and the colours lock into your mind. This colour scheme of Blue and Yellow have been used in many logos but I think Capcom do it best. Here is an image of their current logo.

Animated Logo

Now I have made my logo and animated it in black and white, I thought I would make it flash only, here is what I have done.

I think I could have done much better but due to the limited time I had left to do this logo I would have done much more, maybe swing the sword around or something. Oh well whats done is done. I will do something like that later on into the project.

Photoshop Video

Here is my first attempt of doing video on photoshop, i have used screenshots from a anime called Bleach. Here is my finished version.

Buttons

We have been animating buttons through flash, I have managed to make the animation freeze between frames by clicking the buttons, here is a screen shot of what I have done.

Next we have added text to one of the buttons and played it while adding a scroll bar, here is the next screen shot.

Website Logo

Today we have been researching logos and I have designed one for a website called Tenebra Wasteland. Here is my logo created for the website.

Web Research

Here is a website I have found by going on the 99 Designs page. I think this website has good colours, good quality images and very well laid out. Also the logo is well placed and the links are relatively easy to spot and click. The sides that are like a bit of a wooden design go well with the theme of the web page too. Here is the screen shot.

The next website im looking at includes sections which are very well laid out. An easy way to make your way around by putting categories for the blogs. A nice simple colour for the we and uses as much space as possible without making it looked cramped. Here is the screen shot for this one.

Photo Merge

Now we have lent a camera and went on top of the College building. We took about six or seven different pictures and uploaded them onto the computer. We then opened up photoshop and used Photo Merge. Here is my finished result.

Squared Apple

Next we have had to make a square like apple and turning it into a cut open apple, we used liquefying and special paste with painting on a frame to make the apple square. We used the Shift and clicking to draw straight lines. Here is my apple.

Snooker Ball

Today we have been doing demo's. First we have to make our own snooker balls without following a demo. This is what my version came out like.

Next we did the same but with a demo to help us. We used a lot of shading, the Elliptical Marquee tool with the shapes and the lighting. We also shrunk the opacity down to make the shading easier. Here is my finished version.

Shop Front

Today we have designed a front for a shop, I have decided to use dragons again as i have based m ost of my work around dragons, i have used a few masks, shapes and word techniques and this is the finished outcome, the dragon is known as a Rathalos from a game called Monster Hunter, well here it is (:.

3DS Max Modeling

Next we have experimented more with extruding and polygonal features on 3ds max. This is what my finished result of a normal block warped in many ways by my weird mind (:

3DS Max

Today we have been experimenting with a new program called 3ds max. We have been practising making many shapes and altering the size, rotating and scaling the shapes. We have also been using word text in the 3ds max and making them 3d with changing fonts and colours. This is what our final results of the text turns out after putting it in the background in a photoshop program.

Marantz

Today we have learnt how to set up the marantz, we had to use both the internal microphone and the external microphone. We also had to set up with the various leads and cables to connect the microphones up. We also used headphones to listen to what we have made through the microphones.

Graffiti

We watched a video about graffiti art today. About how this french guy named Thierry Guetta manages to go around many cities in the world filming many people gifted in graffiting the streets. After he had done so much filming and promised them all a documentary he was only doing it to serve his own needs. After filming the street artist Banksy who he has been looking for a long time, he managed to confront Thierry to make the documentary. After all the risks we have watched them do like climbing buildings and managing to get away with everything from the police, we have seen what more graffiting is about.
